Support Groups
Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaAsthma since infancy though not properly treated til adulthood. Now also have nodules in both lung fields. On numerous meds including: Advair and Singulair,and pred and duo neb when needed. Also steroid shots as needed. Would be interested in experimenting with Enberal to control inflammation. Tried pursuing Xolair but unable to get it. Believe this will eventually kill me.
Treatments
- Advair Working / Worked
- works well at 250 and 500, 100 is useless
- Breathing Exercises Not Working
- Never really worked. However, I find singing, even badly, to CDs, etc. oftens a variation on this and is helpful. Would encourage for kids.
- Inhaler Working / Worked
- Use albuterol (rescue) as needed. Works but prefer nebulizer.
- Singulair Not Working
- I personally don't think this does a damn thing and have also been told this by others who have used it. I take it anyway as its availalb eto me and what the hell.
- Singing Working / Worked
- I do this on my own. Develops lung strength and duration, talent notwithstanding.
