I now know that Millie and Heinze are very close:)
Yesterday after I let them outside in the morning - Millie came running upstairs
barking a little and uneasy. She sat next to me and then got uneasy and barked again. She was running to the door and back to me (sort of
a Lassie kind of thing).
So I followed her outside and there was no
Heinze. The gate on the side of
the house had been opened and he had gone out to
explore, which he loves to do.
I get him to come home by microwaving liverwurst - I know - I know. Yuck.
But it works - I take it outside so that the liverwurst wafts out to him where ever
he is and he comes running. It took about 30 seconds.
Is that amazing or what? Little Millie came running for me to go find Heinze.
What a cutie she is.
I used to have a Maltese, her name was Lady. Lady would run to my housekeeper
when the housekeeper's
baby was crying - she'd bark at the housekeeper until she followed her to the baby.
Lassie lives in all female dogs I think.
Thanks for coming by. I love sharing with you guys.

Millie has a new fun thing to do. I have two
air filter machines on the sides of
my bed. They suck the air in the front and blow it out the top.
Millie stands with her head over the top of
the air filter and lets her ears flap in the "wind" that comes
out of the top. She loves it - she stands there forever
with her ears flapping.
Heinze is so much happier with her here. He's a lot
more spunky than he was before. But the difference
in their ages is very evident and i'm realizing how old
Heinze really is. At 13 in dog years he's now 93 in
our years. No wonder he's slowing down - I know this has to happen but I sure don't like it.
He has been such a good friend.
Thanks you guys for coming by and reading my journal.

My freckles and captain are in the guarddog mode. We have coytees, porkies, coons comming closer now that the babbies are grown.
Our babbys are free range love bugs and bark and stay out late now. They are the king of our beasts. lol...
We do have cattle and they really do help and keep most thing away. I do miss seeing the deer. They eat they spilled corn that is around the feeders.
I'm glad to hear about your love for the cuties of our lives... Thanks
