      Sudden onset seizure disorder one month after a total knee replacement in May 01. Tried several AEDs. Now seizure and med free.

      Treatments

      Dilantin Working / Worked
      Klonopin Working / Worked
      Became toxic
      Neurontin Not Working
      Made me very agitated and aggressive
      Topamax Not Working
      Caused severe eye pain
      Vagus nerve stimulation Somewhat Helpful
      The side effects escalated, becoming horrendous. I had it turned off 3 years ago when pain and numbness was shooting down my arm every time the unit fired.
