Ultrasound Mood
Friday, July 18, 2008

We went for our second ultrasound today.  The first they couldn't see the hearts and faces well.  I was excited to have to go back since they were hiding what their sex was as well.  Today we found out everything looks great and we are having two girls!!!!!!!!!!!  We are beside ourselves, I can't wait to get started with the nursery and planning.  We have decided to name them Sarah Mary and Savannah Rose.

OB Appointment Mood
Friday, June 13, 2008
I went for my second appointment today and everything is going well.  We heard a heartbeat (not sure which ones) and it was the most amazing sound I have ever heard.  I started crying right away.  They did a quick ultrasound to check the heartbeat.  She found one right away and had trouble with the second because he/she was moving around so much.  She finally saw it when they calmed down!  As for me as I knew it would happen we have to start watching my sugar levels.  Right now I have to test four times a day for a week and see how they look.  Keeping my fingers crossed for good numbers.

So exciting that you heard a heart beat. That is awesome! So happy for you. I actually had a dream last night and you were holding one of your babies she looked exactly like Ciara from infants(she is cute). As for your sugar levels, I will more than happy to monitor how much goes into your system. Enjoy your weekend...Love you:)

First OB appointment Mood
Saturday, May 17, 2008

I had my first appointment with my OB this past Thursday.  We started with an ultrasound of the babies.  It was so great to be able to see them again and know they are ok.  My husband was laughing when we saw them because they look like they are on top of each other, he was joking saying they were in bunk beds!  I couldn't believe how much the babies have grown, they are starting to look like babies!!!  They were moving around a lot as well.  After the ultrasound we met with a nurse for a full medical history and she filled me in on all the basics.  The doctor says next time I will have to do the gluclose suger test since I have been diganosed with diabetes a few years ago.  The best part is they said I will have an ultrasound everytime I go, I won't argue with that.

On a side note my Mom's cancer has returned to her liver.  She has a biospy scheduled for Tues, this is to confirm what they already know which is the breast cancer has returned.  My Mom keeps telling me I need to stay calm for the babies but that is a little easier said then done.

I am glad all is well with the babies. And, although the diabetes is not a great thing, getting to see the babies every time sure is!

I am sorry about your Mom. I will keep her in my prayers.
