About Me
I have been horribly sexually abused since early childhood and was raped continually during my 6 year marriage to my ex husband. I have found a wonderful man who I married last December, but I'm still trying to heal. I've had lots of back surgeries and neck surgeries to fuse discs in my spine and suffer from pain from those surgeries. I love my four kids and my step-daughter and my family is very supportive.
Interests
I am a substitute teacher for the school district and I just love being around the kids. I haven't been able to work since last October because of my back and I hope to get back this fall. I like to spend time with my family and I enjoy music of any kind

Close Sexual Abuse
I was raped by two teenagers when I was in second grade, then again in fifth grade by the uncle of my friend and then my ex husband.
Open Back Pain
I have had three back surgeries. Two lower lumbar fusions and a cervical fusion in my neck. My last surgery was in March of 06 and so far the surgery hasn't helped. The pain keeps getting worse and worse and they keep ordering more tests to try to find out why my sciatic nerve is being pinched so badly. It was severely damaged by the last disc rupture and does not seem to be healing.
Treatments
- Cortisone (Injection) Not Working
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- I take lorcet three times a day
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Carisoprodol Working / Worked
- Surgery has not helped the pain very much at all. It did help bring the feeling back into my left leg, though
Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I have three teenage boys: 16, 15 and 13. They are all going through a stage right now where they are doing poorly at school. I am trying to find ways to motivate them, without much success.
Treatments
- Education (School) Somewhat Helpful
- The teachers are trying to help, we just need the kids to cooperate
Open Hysterectomy
I am going to have to have a hysterectomy this summer and I'm kind of scared. I have some big long named disease of the uterus that is fortunately not malignant, but the uterus has to come out anyway.
Open Prescription Drug Abuse
I have been on prescription pain meds for a year and a half and am having a hard time getting off.

- withdrawals are killing me but I'm hanging in there.
Open Bipolar Disorder
I have suffered from bipolar since high school. Started treatment for it 4 years ago and am doing okay except for anxiety.

My husband and I married a year ago. We have three teenage boys together and I have a daughter from another marriage and so does he. We are having issues about him letting me make decisions pertaining to his daughter. He doesn't seem to want to let me in.
Open Migraine Headaches
I began having migraines with my first pregnancy 17 1/2 years ago. I usually get at lease 1 to 2 a month.
Treatments
- Caffeine Somewhat Helpful
- Good excuse for a chocolate bar!
- Excedrin Working / Worked
- The Excedrin Migraine brand works the best for me especially if I take it right when I feel the headache coming on.
- Imitrex Not Working
- Had a terrible allergic reaction to this. The first and only time they gave it to me in the doctor's office, I quit breathing and had to be rushed to the emergency room.
- Maxalt Not Working
- Midrin Not Working
Open Home Schooling
My 16 year old son is flunking out of high school and skipping school to party with his friends so I took him out of school last week to home school him. I found an on-line, state run virtual high school and we're going to sign up with them plus other subjects that I will give him here.
