      Just wanted to say good luck. I've been dealing with this for about 6 years now. And I too thought it was stress related, but now that I'm pre-med I see just how confusing this thyroid issue is. It's due to a protein and hormone imbalance and frankly doctors aren't really sure what exactly causes it expec this vague crone's disease...but whatever is the spark that ignited this problem in all of us...at least we're staying strong!       Have had insomnia for 7 months, hyperactive thyroid, and about over it.

      Treatments

      Ambien Working / Worked
      works great, problem is it's only for short term usage
      Lunesta Not Working
      no effect at all
      Valerian Too Soon to Tell
      not sure if it did anything or not.

      Have had severe anxiety for about 6 months, panic attack that sent me to the ER. Dr is investigating possible thyroid problems
