Wild day!

I shut my alarm clock off and fell back asleep...woke up 2.5 hrs later in a panic! I managed to wash up...brush teeth, make coffee, get dressed and out the door in less than 10 minutes and made the commute to work (51 miles)...in less than 40 minutes...of course I'm wanted in 3 counties now!

Due to my college kids being on spring break, my days are short and I'm happy! Actually I've started Christmas shopping and Christmas knitting already...YAY. I'm making my sister some very special and personal stitch markers and point protectors for knitting that she will get a huge kick out of! Of course I've found some other gifts for h er and her husband..they are such fun to shop for. I hope to find her some "unusual yarns" at the fiber festival in June too. My grand daughter is easy to buy for..as are other people in my life...I just can't figure out what to do for my son, maybe gift certificates for Oil changes on h is new car...but he really needs some nicer furniture. His exwife took all the good furniture exept their daughters furniture (she took not one piece of it) and the bedroom. He has this crappy book case, that he's had since he was in Jr. High. I found a very nice modern bookcase..almost bought it for myself....hmmmm

Got a very nice check in the mail yesterday... a glitch in the company computer resulted in my not getting paid my shift differential for...oh a year! More than $1,200.00 that I wasn't expecting...small wonder I'm in the mood to Christmas shop!

OH and Otis is here for an extra night...In my panic I forgot to bring him back this morning! He didn't get his poached egg for breakfast....so he got it tonight.....I came home to find him laying on the new little stuffed "sheep" I bought t he other day. He found a way to get even with me!

The "fiber festival" sounds cool :-) That is something that I could get into, and get into trouble with, hehehe I worked for a fabric chain for a year and a half. I spent more than I made and had to build cabinets to hold what I bought...it is an addiction.

been there and dun that a time or two myself. oversleep that is. glad it all worked out , and no speeding tickets. wanna pay mine , i got one coming home in Nebraska. guess i better pay it pretty soon.

Wow Cour you are ALL over it girl! I haven't even though of Xmas...didn't it JUST pass??? LOL! Good for you...I am glad you are happy & smiling and in the Xmas spirit (no matter how odd that is! lol) Sounds like you are a busy girl! Just keep that foot off the gas a little!!! ;-p

Joy, I've found out the hard way...speed is a way of life out here. On the interstate, speed limit is 75mph, but if you drive at that speed everyone honks at you and gives you the finger. Even the cops!
