Heat today was not fun but luckily it was a short day.  I arrived home, hot and sweaty but forgot all that when I found a package in my mail box!  The Bison Yarn I ordered arrived!  Wow did t hat set me in a good mood!

Walking from my garage to my condo unit I noticed there is a small resurfacing project going on, on the street that passes my complex.  An older woman was holding the stop/slow sign for t he crew that were all working in air conditioned vehicles.  So I walked over to her and asked if she'd like some ice water....wow her expression went from someone in misery to someone quite pleased.  So I came inside and rather than get a paper or plastic cup.  I dug out one of my Aluminum  "retro" glasses (really keeps stuff cold).  She seemed to pleased, said "I could get you iced tea if you prefer"..."no no ice water is better" she said as she took a long drink.  I told her "just toss the glass on my patio it won't break, or knock on the door if you want more". About 20 mins later she set t he glass on my patio so I asked her if she needed some more or changed her mind about the tea.  She said no but t hanked me so much and pointed to my uniform pocket and said "you work outside so you understand, most people drive past like I'm a bug or chipmunk". The yarn, it was the yarn I tell you!  White Buffalo yarn at that (well one skein, the other is a blended brown/white with a little cashmere thrown in)..it just set off such good vibes.
