Hi there, is it really so long since we were in touch? how are you doing? have you had a good vacation? Things are pretty ok here, Kit went back to school Wednesday and things are very positive for her at the moment, she loves her new classes, and everyone loved her new look-the little madam dyed her hair jet black over the holiday much to my shock horror, still, it does give her more self confidence so i suppose that's a good thing, she's also managed to last 24 days without cutting herself which is very good. Michael had his first day at college yesterday and came home absolutely bubbling over with excitement, just Dan to go back on Tuesdaya now.I'm pretty excited too having been invited to represent our parish on a 2 year training course for Pastoral Ministry, basically it will help me to do what I do when I go sick visiting or home communion visits better. Other than that all is preetty much as is, been doing some embroidery rather than reading, so no new books to recommend. Hope you are keeping well, love and big hugs, Hazelxx

Thank you so so so much-after a very emotinal day-in a good way actually, more about that in a minute, when I read your message thi morning, was so touched I just sat and cried like a baby-but now I feel better, stronger and a bit more ready to cope.Good newsis Michael went for his interview yesterday and it seems he has his place, not doing the basic A levelshe was expecting to do, but a BTech Level 3 in Media Studies which will be the equivalent to 3 A levels rather than the 2, and he is also doing courses in photography and music so he's over the moon, it is a good broad subject cover and he will at a later stage take a degree in theology hopefully, probably once he's working and so with the Open University-thus giving him a basis for Priesthood training if he still choses to enter that at 25-28. Just waiting for the written offer which is due 10-14 days. Than you again for caring, hope you are enjoying your break, love and hugs, ny fiend-Hazelxx

Hi Dave, So glad it wasn't just me with Nostromo. I'm sure he must have had writerrrr's block or some such!!! Hoe the new book lives up to it's promise-must admit I'm not reading at te moment, I'm waiting for this new Sansome book-but I've been promised it as a present for my birthday in July.Enjoy your holiday from school-what a fantastic teacher you ae-to consider the kids before your own thoughts-but it mus have been very moving for you to realise that they obviously do appreciate you-I was moved for you!! I'll say a prayer for you for the new year for determination and trength to see you through as you try to help these kids. Hope you get your party! I wsn't planning a party as such for my 50th but we were hoping to go to the theatre a couple of days after to see the musical of Mary Poppins -yeah, I know it's childlike, but I love the music!!! However, they have no tickets till September!!!So that's on hold so I reckon we'll just go out for a meal. Before then we'll be off to Dawlish Warren on July 5th for our week away as a family, the day after Michael's prom. His exams are going ok I think three left, one Friday, one the following Monday and last one on the 23rd. He also has 2 second interviews on the 16th and 18th-the latter being at his first choice college. Having a few days beautiful weather here, warm but not too hot, but it's supposed to get cooler by Thursday so it's a case of making the most of it. Just going to make some breakfast and loose the cat out-she likes sitting out in the sun too even at 5.50 in the morning!!. Take care, love and hugs, my friend, Hazelxx

Hi Dave, good to hear from you-hope you enjoy your break from teaching enough time to gather your wits and thoughts and to refresh and revitalise yourself. Hope the fair goes better for you this time.Oh no!! The dreaded Nostromop! We had to study that for GCE O Level when I was at school, I hated it, and have shied away from Joseph Conrad ever since though I'm sure if I gave him a chance now I'd probably see more into it than I could at 14-it felt very heavy going back then. Things are going ok here I think, Michael's slowly working his way through his exams and has two more interviews in the next fortnight, one a second interview at his preferred college so fingers crossed for that on the 18th. We seem to have a nice dry sunny day today after a very wet couple of days, I thought this was meant to be summer-you'd never believe it! Take care of yourself till next time, my friend, Love and Hugs, Hazelxx

Hi Dave, hope you enjoy your change from the hisyorical novels-you may be right that they wouldn't suit me-that being said my tastes are quite variedi've enjoyed all sorts over the years-from Solzhynitzen-is that how you spell it- Cancer Ward and The Gulag Archipelago,To The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. I do hope this next Fair works better for you.I shall persevere with the diet!!The exams seem to be going ok, Michael has been most diligent with his revision to the extent that his English teacher is now saying he could quite easily get A* -a bit of a change from the projected C of 2 years ago. He's a bit emotional this weekend as he officially left school on Friday, only having to go back for his last three papers On the other hand he was very excited on Thursday as we went and bought his Evening suit, dress shirt, Cummerbund, bow tie and cuff links for his Prom, he looked very handsome if I do say so myself. Kitty went on a history trip to Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre on Friday which she found incredibly moving but really enjoyed. Anyway, take care of yourself, love and big hugs, Hazelxx
