About Me
stay at home mom of 2 boys. one special needs (15 yr old) many health and other issues. had a 24 yr old daughter who recently became brainwashed from her therapist and disowned us. I spend most of my time raising my boys and advocating for my special needs son. He was a 25 week, 1 lb. preemie. Has been going through major eye surgeries in past year to save his sight. Had retinal detachment. We are in CA. 8 years and extremely lonely with no family or much support. Am a social person who likes to help others and amy extremely loyal. Lived in many states since I've been married. Older son has autism, ROP, is medically fragile and needs constant care and attention since he can hardly see. Have been fighting with schools, and is under constant medical care. Have no help and am physically and emotionally drained since our daughter's disappaearance.
Interests
Nurturing my family, cooking, reading, shopping, socializing (even via e-mail). Love to travel.

Hi. Just sending you a hello and hope everything is going okay today. My sister is raising her two twin grandsons who have sensory deprivation disorders and she too feels isolated much of the time. I take care of my Mom who has dementia and lung disease and I too feel isolated many days. Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
My 15 yr. son has high functioning autism. He was a 25 week 1 lb 6oz preemie, who spent 6 months in the NICU. Has other medical conditions as well.
Treatments
- Behavior Management Working / Worked
- He has a behaviorist at school and at home. Has been working, but needs to be consistent.Still have hard times controlling himself which is understandable.
Close Blindness & Visual Impairment
My 15 year old son who was a 25 week, 1 lb. preemie had ROP. A year and a half ago had retinal detachment in both eyes. He's had 4 major eye surgeries since then and another coming up next month. He had virtually no sight in one eye and minimal in the other. He also has autism, is medically fragile and other health and neurological issues.
Open Bereavement
This is the closet community for what we are going thru. Our daughter (24) was brainwashed by her therapist and deeply hurt our family in more ways than one with deep impact. We were extremely close and we know we will never get her back. She is gone to us and has alienated other family members from us. She has also hurt our autistic son. The damage is irreparable. We know, even tho she is physically on this earth, we are suffering the loss of her from our lives and life will never be the same.

- Almost every or every other day. When seeing daughters with their families or thinking of how close we were and what impact she had on our autistic son.
Open Family Issues
We have many family issues. Our worst one if the loss of our 25 yr. old daughter to brainwashing from her therapist. After she put us through almost a year of hell...she destroyed her whole family, turned everyone against us and hurt her autistic brother the most.

Open Diets & Weight Maintenance
I have been using food as comfort or many years now. Since we've moved around and I have been extremely lonely food is mynew best friend. I know losing weight is a lifestyle, not just diet, but it has been extremely hard just getting started and motivated to change. Tried a trainor at the gym and a nutritionist.
Open Retinal Detachment
My 15 yr. old autistic son who had ROP as a preemie born at 25 weeks, 6 months in NICU just developed retinal detachment in both eyes over a year and a half ago. Had 5 eye surgeries. A scleral buckle put in one eye, and the other had 2 surgeries, one with gas and other with silicone, then had a cataract and the lens removed, ad 5th surgery to replace lens. Has no vision in one eye and minimal in the other. Would love to join this community.
