I'm a single 46 year old woman and I am considering gastric by pass surgery but I am having a struggle with Insurance coverage. My weight has been a challenge since my teens.
Treatments
- Gastric Bypass Surgery Considering
- Phentermine Somewhat Helpful
- I stopped taking it after about 6 months and when I had plateaued. I was able to loose about 60 pounds but of course once I stopped the weight came back.
Close Financial Challenges
I have always struggled with finances. Being a single mom for years and now being alone but student loans are due and the credit cards are easy to use and there are so many tempting places to shop in the city.

- I leave the credit cards at home and out of my wallet so I don't have them to use. But some days I just want to shop shop shop...
Open Menopause
I'm just starting to notice some changes at 46 I skip a month between periods and am having hot flashes during the day..at least I think they're hot flashes..I guess it could be allergies.. I get confused with growing older and with everything that hurts I'm never sure what is causing it all...for all I know it coul dbe this thyroid thing Oprah just relayed she has cause I sure ache all over but last year I had my thyroid checked and it was fine... who knows I guess...somedays....
