BC I wasnt feeling that great I took it easy this week and with the 3 kids starting pubic school, that was intentional....spelling error, ok, not nice, well I think I decided on LLATL for Language and Saxon for math or abeka...These are the few subjects we are starting with. He will do slanted print to prepare for cursive. Because he hates school, I have to be real creative. I am going to have him do a diary but keep it twice a week. One or two lines with a drawing. It will keep it fun and fresh. He also went to the skate park which is only about 4 milees away. 8 years old and went right up and down a ramp and there were adults there doing tricks. He looks pretty smooth. He wants to race BMX but that might be too much dough for now, but I like the skatepark its FREE and if he does well in school, I will take him twice a week. His friend has come over afterschool everyday so he is getting social balance. He learned plenty about life this week, and how to mail things, cook some things, and deal with some life issues. We are facing a flood watch, are safe from hurricane but the tropical storm may be an issue.
My voice is still a little rough but the inflammatory meds are helping. Im feeling better everyday... Im going to try and download a picture of Ben/video of Ben skateboarding....he's so little!

Good to hear your starting to feel better. I never pushed to hard with homeschool, we took things easy with breaks to go for walks, look up the interesting birds in the yard or watch deer as they came through. One big thing I tried to do was tie in what we were learning in school with how it would be useful in real life, like using math for cooking and building and cooking for international studies. That sounds like fun!!! Can I come be home schooled? It sounds like more fun than getting your knuckles rapped with a wooden ruler in winter when your hands are freezing and you hit the wrong note on the piano. I shudder every time I see a ruler.
