I am retired and my husband of 50 years died Jan. 30, 2007. I have 3 children, 6 grand children and 2 great grand children. I live on the desert and love it here. I love to sew and make all my clothes and quilts.

Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a Partner/SpouseI lost my husband to colon cancer Jan. 30, 2007 after a 3 1/2 year battle. He was 75 and we were married 50 years. I have good days and bad ones, the last two have been pretty bad. I have been on WEBMD's C.C. board for years and tried their Bereavement Board but nothing there for me. I just feel so lost and empty. At 72 I have gone back to work 3 days a week to help fill in the void. We were so close, we worked together, played together and were best friends.
Treatments
- Crying Too Soon to Tell
- Just cried myself to sleep last night and tears won't stop today
- Grief Counseling Not Working
- Made me too sad, Got lost with others grief.
- Prayer Working / Worked
- I feel close to God and don't really ask much for myself except strength.
Close Colon Cancer
Stage: IV (Any T, Any N, M1)My husband who was 75 years old when he died of colon cancer in Jan. of this year after a long hard battle. We were married 50 years and I miss him so much.
