Hug
looks like you need a hug. Here's a great big hug. Hope you feel better. i know how you feel. I'm the same age, I don't want to take meds the rest of my life either. Hope your week end is much better for you.
Hug
I saw that you needed a hug. Just be patient this disease isn't easy. You need to keep positive and realize that even though taking all those medications isn't fun, they are meant to make you feel better. Hope you're feeling better soon!
Hug
hang in there, know that you are not alone, no matter how you may feel.
Hug
I do deserve a hug! So do you!

Support Groups
Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I found out I had Crohn's officially in December 2006, though I was in hospital for Crohn's in August 2006 and have had signs for quite some time. I went on and off several medications, but now have decided to just manage the disease through my diet.
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- This medication did not work at all and cause me more flare-ups.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Lactose free foods.
- Entocort Not Working
- This medication did not work for me.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- While in the midst of a flare-up this is a very successful drug. It really does help.
Close Insomnia
I have been an insomniac since the start of middle school. I love to work at night because it is easier to try to get some sleep in the day time. Ambien has been a very helpful medication and allows me to sleep. I prefer it over Lunesta. Eventually it will get so bad your body will take over and you will get some sleep.
