MY name is Chrissy and I am mom to Zack (no CF) and Jaden w/CF. She is very active 2 1/2 year old and full of life. She was dignosed at birth through the newborn screen test, we had two sweats test done to confirm but they were no good since we didn't get enough sweat. Our local ped said there was nothing wrong with her and let it go. She gained weight and was doing well except for the weird stools. I finally got one of the peds to listen and she ordered another sweat test at 8 months we had a postive results and began out treatments. Right now she is on 6 Pancrecarb MS4, Prevacid in the am and Zantac in the eve. 2 mutivitamens a day and vit E. We do CPT 1x a day and are awaiting on the approval of the vest. She is currently 28 lbs and 35 inches tall and doing very well. We go to the clinic in Monroville, PA, which is apart of Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh. I have days I don't know if I am coming or going. Days of to many thoughts of the future. Days of wanting to runaway. I am greatful for Jaden and know that she was given to me for a reason and that is cause I would take very good care of her.
