Wow
I've been gone a long while. I had to take a break as I was becoming too obsessed with the boards and not getting much done. Now I still dont get much done - but I can at least admit it's because I am organizationally challenged.
I've been busy and silly and having fun. Went away for a few days to Seattle for a little shop and eat fest. Been working with JDRF and school stuff. Excited for Christmas. I just love the tree and the lights.
I am off now to check in on all of you and I hope that I find you all well.
In honor of the Simpsons Anniversay today
I shall quote Homer :
"Woo hoo! 350 dollars! Now I can buy 70 transcripts of Nightline"
Start laughing if you have quit for some reason...

Well after my lovely Sunday afternoon of being thankful and calm and happy - I got home to find the sewer backed up downstairs and my Christmas Santa floating by in a river of debris.
Joy oh Joy!
Restoration crews and emergency plumbing until 1 am have now left me with crews of workman pulling up carpet, boxing up, cleaning up, cutting out drywall and I am digging through mounds of ruined family memorabliia. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself until I read my darling friend Lori's journal and realized that I have lost nothing.
Nada.
So my friends, enjoy the day, love yourself and remember:
"There's a bit of magic in everything, and some loss to even things out"
Also
Poop doesn't float....

I really needed that quote. Thanks.
It's also nice to know that little tidbit about poop. I hope everything gets sorted out soon.

Hope you are getting the mess cleaned up and things are going better for you. You are right, those are just things and can be fixed or replaced. Memories are what we keep in our heart and those we love and hold dear are what really matters. Thanks for your love and friendship, it means alot to me and I can never lose you, for you are in my heart. Hugs for better days, Delores

You Poor Dear...... that is terrible!!! I hope things are taken care of soon. I would be ranting and raving no matter what!!
Luv ya!! XOXOX
I love the colors of fall. The reds and golds and yellows. I love the giant leaves that clog up the gutters and the garden. When you sweep them away you actually feel like you have accomplished something. Much more gratifying than sorting socks. Well , most anything is more gratifying than socks....
I also love Sundays. The quiet streets, the sound of my daughters giggling softly at a shared joke. The knowledge that the only thing I have to do is read my book, or watch a movie and roast something for dinner. No lessons - no driving, no phone calls.
I take time to say "Thank you" to The Big Guy most days - but Sundays I must say it most every hour.
So now I'd like to take one of those 'Thank you's" and give one to you.
Thank you for being my friend, for listening, for the hugs and the humour.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

Wow I envy you the shopping in Seattle. No place like Pike's Street to find killer things and eat too!

Hey! I've missed you, but glad you know when you need to back off. (So many don't!)
Merry Christmas! Hope to catch up with you soon.
