Close Cocaine Addiction & Recovery
I have been using cocaine since i was 18, Im now 31. Last summer I burned a hole in my nose. They call it a deviated septum. So I started smoking it. Satan in a pipe. It has been two weeks today since the last time I used. I am trying with everything I have to quit, but it seems that the drug has taken most of me, now I need to figure out how to get it back. I signed up for out patient rehab,am am trying to learn how to live a "normal, sober" life. Any ideas are much appreciated.
Treatments
- Detox Somewhat Helpful
- I have been in out patient for about a month. I start group tomorrow, and am nervous about befriending anyone from the group cause of relapse stat's.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- its working for the most part. I am pretty slick though. Went out a couple times and ended up using, but it makes it alot harder with him here. He is leaving in four days
Close ADHD / ADD
I have an 11 year old son named Julian with adhd, bipolar disorder, and odd. He is the only thing in my life that keeps me going,,, LITERALLY . lol. I have been a support group facilitator for parents,and currently volunteer for parent to parent network helping parents with coping mechanisms, and education about meds and symptoms. I love to share the information that I have learned at workshops and training shops for special needs children.

Type: Clinical (Major) Depressionwell my dad tells me that he will sit here and force me to join this community today so I decided to get a head start. I have severe depression, with cycles, PTSD, and BPD. To make matters worse I am currently battling drug addiction. I joined that community too. I have an 11 year old son Julian who has adhd, odd, and bipoar disorder. These things make coping even more tough, although Julian is my reason for being. He gives me strength when I need it most, and for that I am in debt to him.
Treatments
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- worked when i took it
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- works with the lexapro when i take it.
- Valium Working / Worked
- helps when im ready to rip my hair out. Again, when Im taking it.
- Electroconvulsive therapy Not Working
- I think this made things worse. But there was a girl there who had scabs ALL over her from constant digging, by the time we were done they had gone away,so it helped her
