    About Me

I'm a wife, a mom, a writer, a teacher, and I love to talk with all different kinds of people. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and the more I learn about him the more fascinated I become. My passion is to see him "in person" some day when there will be no more night, no more suffering, no more PTSD.

Hi! I just received final information from Dr. Margaret Altemus at Cornell University. She is doing research with medications for PTSD suffers in NY. To participate, call her at 212-746-3751 or maltemus@med.cornell.edu. • Close Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

I was sexually molested as a young girl by someone who was always held up to me as a paragon of virtue and excellence. Then in 4th grade a teacher emotionally abused me repeatedly. I carried the burden of these experiences into adulthood, feeling like I was somehow of less worth than the other people around me. Dirty. Bad. Later, a marital explosion brought out even more of these feelings and I'm trying to heal and become a strong wife and mother.

      Treatments

      Art Working / Worked
I'm a writer. Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve the rush I get from writing, so I avoid it. If I would do it regularly, it would help immensely.
Rape Counseling Too Soon to Tell
I'm just beginning this, so it's early to describe how helpful it is. But it seems like it's going to be great to get it all talked out.
      Supportive Care Working / Worked
My husband has gone to counseling with me and has worked hard for many years with me, uncovering issues in his own life, etc. Friends and family are also essential.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
The more I get to know Jesus and the implications of his teachings and his life, the more I realise he holds the key to all emotional healing. He understands all pain.
