Add your supportJust a quick entry to let everyone know that I am feeling a little better now. I was so happy that my sister asked me to help her get ready for her prom. I guess it was just hard for me to realize how fast she is growing up. She isn't a little kid anymore. She is growing up to be a beautiful young woman.
She said prom was a blast. And that everyone LOVED her hair, which I did! =) Justin took her to a really nice restaraunt to eat before they went to prom.
I am also feeling better because there are only 10 days before I leave for vacation. I am really looking forward to seeing my babies!!!!! I just need to get through the next few days at work. I am completely swamped with store inventory. Ahhhhh too many numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Just thought I would say hello. I am feeling a little sad right now, and I know people here will understand.
I just helped my little sister get ready for her first prom, and I tell you I am so happy for her. She looked absolutley magnificent! (Check out the pictures) But on the inside I was crying. I just remember when we were growing up how much of I pain I thought she was. There is almost 13 years between us, so growing up was kind of tough. She always wanted to follow me around. And now that she is growing up I don't want her too!
And then watching her get ready and help her fix her hair made me want to go too! Haha! But then kind of made me realize I am not getting any younger, and made me feel kind of sad. My prom was almost 10 years ago, and the time has passed by faster than I have wanted it too! I mean really, in another 5 or 6 years I'll be sending my own kids off to their proms too!
I don't know if I am making any sense to anyone. She just looked so beautiful when I got home I cried. Just feeling sad right now. Could really use a hug! ![]()

As a little sister with 9 and 18 years difference in age from my 2 sisters, I have to say that I think this is so sweet. Please share this with your sister sometime. She will cherish this. My oldest sister was like a second mom to me. I was heartbroken when she moved out. A few years later she told me it broke her heart too. I was so honored to know how she felt about me. I know that I annoyed the devil out of my other sister. Now that we are both adults, I thank her for being such a good model as a mom--I've used a lot of her "tactics" in my own parenting. One day she started to cry and asked me why I admired her so much after the way she treated me (when I annoyed her). I didn't really remember those things. I just remembered a beautiful, talented big sister. I now feel about my nieces the way you are describing about your little sister. You are such a blessing for your sister.

Thank you so much. She called me today to tell me how much fun she had last night. I was really happy for her. And to say thank you for helping her with her hair and getting into her dress. My mom is in another city right now taking care of my Grandpa right now, so she wasn't able to be here. And my sister said "Dad doesn't know how, I want you to do it!" Haha! Still feeling a little sad today, but it will pass I know it. Thank you for your wonderful comment and your experience as well.

Just 10 days left!! Hope the inventory goes well...at least it should keep you occupied and help the time go more quickly before you go! Glad your (not so) little sister had a great time! x
