Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionPTSD-abusive/dysfuntional home as a child. Physical, emotional and sexual abuse . My father would go on these valium/alcohol binges and just wreak havok in our home. My Mom just shut down, it was too much for her. Like going into shock I think.

PTSD as a result of years of abuse as a kid. Worked extremely hard to overcome it. Events of 9-11-01 almost sent me over the top. I'm really struggling with it on and off

Incest survivor-abusive/dysfuntional home as a child physical/emotional as well- suffer from PTSD as a result of many years of sexual abuse as a child. Ended up married to a man who decided to exploit me for my weaknesses and ended up preying on me instead of trying to help or assist in any healthy way.
Treatments
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- Group counceling in all female staff and group. Terribly difficult for about the first 6 mo., Bad dreams, recollections, etc. Finally saw improvement. Hard work!
- Abuse Counseling Working / Worked
- Have done this off and on for many years (20+) mostly on - Events of 9-11-01 really sent me spiraling downward
