I am 20years old and currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Science in Disability Studies and Community Rehabilitation at Flinders University. I have SLE and with that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which presents its challenges but as we all do we face them as they come, with God's help nothing is impossible!
I am generally interested in most things but right now my main hobby is sign language which I am really enjoying learning at TAFE. I love music, my favourite artist is Michael Buble. I used to play clarinet but I fell ill and consequently was required to stop playing. I like watching pretty much all types of movies except scary ones (silly I know). I love my pet dogs, walking them, playing with them, everything really. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and I really love meeting new people and learning about them and their experiences.

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of ten. It is mostly my fingers that are involved but also hip joint sand my jaw. I have had a long journey of trial and error with treatment but the main problem is that I have been on the medication for an extended period of time so we try to take me off or at least decrease the doseage which is sometimes ok and other times it can mean trouble, but I suppose it is just finding that balance.
I was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder at the age of ten but I had to wait until the age of fifteen to get a formal diagnosis of SLE. I also have nephritis. I have been on methylpred which has proven to be my most effective treatment so far.
I have always had Raynauds as far as I can remember, my mother and grandmother also have it.
Have had migraine headaches since I was very young, so did my mother.
