The Cord We are connected,My child and I, byAn invisible cordNot seen by the eye. It's not like the cordThat connects us 'til birthThis cord can't been seenBy any on Earth. This cord does it's workRight from the start. It binds us togetherAttached to my heart. I know that it's thereThough no one can seeThe invisible cordFrom my child to me. The strength of this cordIs hard to describe. It can't be destroyedIt can't be denied. It's stronger than any cordMan could createIt withstands the testCan hold any weight. And though you are gone,Though you're not here with me,The cord is still thereBut no one can see. It pulls at my heartI am bruised...I am sore,But this cord is my lifelineAs never before. I am thankful that GodConnects us this wayA mother and childDeath can't take it away! ~ author unknown ~  I hope this beautiful poem brings some of you a measure of peace today.

My articles were published in the IF mag (International Family Mag) and anyone who is interested in reading it can see it at http://www.internationalfamilymag.com  I plan to write an article about drug addiction and the destruction it causes the addict and their families. I would love some input from parents who have gone thru the pain and destruction of drug addiction. You can e-mail me private at mom_emile@yahoo.com if you want to contribute to it. I won't use any names so everyone will remain anonymous. I hope everyone is doing well. Lots of love and hugs to all.

Rea, well done! The loss of our child has pushed many of us into doing something productive. May I post your journal to the FMO page for everyone to be able to respond? Barbara

Hi there all you wonderful people!!! Sorry Kathy, I will be here more from now on. Thank you all for the hugs. ((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))) to all my great friends. I just get so frustrated sometimes when I have trouble opening the DS page. I don't know if it is because I am on the other side of the world. Everything has been okay with me and busy with the group. Sunday I hit a very dark place and it was so awful. But all the Loving Arms members are so loving and supportive. The thing with the group is that we get instant replies to what we post and this is a bit difficult to get into. I hope everyone else is well and coping with their heartache and struggles. Lots of love and hugs. My prayers are always with you. Blessed Be.
