No poem today....Just a thought.....a way of looking at prayer.Innocent

Prayer Time for Me

Many Christians, good people all, have a misconception that prayer makes things easy. That is not always the way it works. It does however, make things possible.

Prayer is a direct line to take your concerns and trials to God. And there is power in prayer for God answers prayers.

We may not always like what those answers are, or how he answers them. But he does always answers them. Sometimes the answer is that we must go through the trial facing us. But he is there with us to help us through to the other side. And we are stronger when we do.

As I look back over the struggles and trials I’ve had to face in my years, I know he was there all the way. At the time I was going through them I was wondering, Lord, where are you? Why don’t you make this go away?

Yet, I did not turn away.

Each day that past the spark within me grew stronger. It began to glow and grow, spreading throughout my soul. I knew then, that soon the fire of the Spirit would fill me and I would be freed.

There were also times when I prayed to my God to remove something that blocked my path in doing his will. And it was removed. That his glory may shine through.

I find it a blessing to have a loving Father that I can take my troubles to, who will listen to me, and take the time to help me work them out.

Prayer from my heart is how I speak to him. Reading and meditating on his word in daily devotion is one of the ways he speaks to me. When I pray, with pad and pen in hand, many things he has answered me.

I write, I pray, I read, I pray, I write, I pray… and listen close to what God has to say.
