Well i guess im here cuz i just want to talk to people who understand how i feel about things. Last December i was …
My INR is at 3.0. That's the closest to perfect it's been in a loong time. However, my dose has been screwed around with so much I'm not sure what I took to get it here. We'll see.
I have been sooooo lethargic lately. I'm lying in bed right now and should be at work. Luckily, in sales, I have the freedom to make my own schedule. But when I feel like crap, I don't feel like working. An then I feel guilty for not going into work.
Really I should not feel guilty. I already made my sales quota for the month. I don't know what my problem is. I'm a true worker I guess.
I sell Medicare plans to people, and so whenever I do a seminar I often tell them about my clot and my experience with it. (I also used the company's 24 hour nurse line to help me figure out that I should go to the hospital), so I point out that the nurse hotline is a great service since it helped me. It's interesting to see eveyrone's reaction. They tell me I'm too young to have that happen, and they often tell me about their own expeiences with Coumadin. I ran into one lady who had multiple clots since she was in her 20's and she just recently was told she would be on Coumadin for life (they found she had a genetic abnormality). She told me she really wanted to get off the Coumadin. I asked her, "How many times have you had a DVT?" She said 5 or 6. I told her to stay on it.

My PT/INR on Wednesday was 1.8. I'm staying with the same Coumadin dosage of 5mg since I am having dental surgery …
I bet you meet your sales quota; with a story like yours I'd have no problem buying a plan from you! Shake off the guilt (easier said that done ha ha).

Hang in there and try not to let the guilt get to you. Tell it to take a hike. I remember the "you're too young to have had that happen to you comments about my clotting and being on coumadin." Granted, I haven't heard them in a longggg time. I guess that means I'm an old broad now. lol. Ahhhh well, take from this old bird ... things will get better.

You're a warrior. Even warriors need a break. Are you ever coming off coumadin?

Is coumadin the same drug as warfarin? Becuase I know that what you call Lovenox in America we call clexane in the UK so just wondered if they were the same thing too... ? How long have you been on it for? and yeah take a well deserved break and look after your self not your clients!!
