Journal Entry for February 18, 2008 Mood
Monday, February 18, 2008

Thursday will be 4 weeks off ALL meds and 11 months without a drink...the last 3 weeks since leaving detox have been hell.  Extreme body aches, constant nights sweats (actually all day sweats), nasea, headaches, all I smell and taste is metal, nightmares, and EXTREME anxiety.  My body is completly abnormal.  I never sleep and ALL I DO IS EAT!!!!!  I was on RX meds for 6 months.  Does anyone know if it takes this long or how long it takes for ones body to detox?  Fortunatly I have kept a journal of all these ups and downs so when I do feel like resorting to a pill for pain it is very easy to remember why NOT to.  If anyone knows the ins and outs of detoxing and has any info for me, that would be great.  After my accident they had my on morphine, oxy, and xanax and I went off them cold turkey in detox.

Besides all that I am at meetings 9-12 times per week and back on them steps all right.  I keep you all in my prayers.  The first thing I packed on my way to detox was you guessed it...my higher power.
