Close Alcoholism
I am an alcoholic/addict and have been in recovery for since January 2007. I moved to FL from NY just around the same time. I drank and drugged for over 14 years. I am now age 31.
Treatments
- 12 Step Program Working / Worked
- I am currently working the steps with a sponsor.
- AA Meetings Working / Worked
- I currently attend between 8 to 12 meetings per week (Big Book, 12&12s, Grapevine, Promises, Young People's, Open Discussions, Speaker Meetings, etc.)
Close Cocaine Addiction & Recovery
Used on and off, mostly on for over 10 years. I am now age 30 and haven't used in almost 13 months. I am an alcoholic and I currently go yo mostly AA, but sometimes NA.
Open Sports Injuries
Broken pelvis- working on working on it
Open Brain Injury
Had seizures in past 10 years thought due to drug and alchohol abuse, now clean, I had the worsrt one Sept 10th 2007 leaving me with memory loss, no sense of taste or smell, etc.
Open Anxiety
After having a brain injury and seizure the docs put me on many meds (narcotic pain and benzos) 5 months later (01/08) I came off all meds and now have daily anxiety. It will take some getting used to I guess...
Treatments

- Lexapro Working / Worked
- When I detoxed off the narcotic meds I also went off Lexapro and decided to wait and see if my depressional was situational and due to accident or the use of narcotic meds.
- Meditation Working / Worked
- Positive Thinking Working / Worked
- Must take an active role in my attitude and think each day in order to maintain.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Worked but not fun coming off of them. Risk of seizures.
Open Degenerative Disc Disease
After longtime backpain in 2004, diagnosed with 3 degenerating discs as well as slight scoliosis.
