I teach piano at home, despite the fact that I have Spasmodic Tortecollis. It took me from 1982-1995 to finally receive a diagnosis. I have a husband, a son who teaches High School, and a Daughter in CA with her husband, and my 2 grandchilden. I recently played my 3rd Concert for Dystnia Awareness, and hope to play another one durin the coming year.
My other interests writing- I recently wrote an article for the July/August issue of Neurology Now, and plan to write more. I also keep busy practicing playing piano at my church, and doing some original composing. For exercise, I like to go swimming, which my Neurologist approves of, and I must confess that I like to shop.

I think of you often, too, & am very grateful to have you as a friend!
Thank you for your continued friendship & support; your friendship means SO much to me! Thank you for being there, and I appreciate your "advice"/ sending me websites I can go to for help with my dystonia. You are a real go-getter, & I feel honoured to know someone like you, who is so active, & can pursue your interests. xx, Alexis
Thanks for raising money for dystonia especially since I love a piano. I also have ST and write, but allow myself typos when sending messages to friends. You are very level-headed in dealing with others. I recently learned not to give advice, but support is good!
Looks like we have a similar history. I'm not musical, unfortunately. I'm a photography fanatic? Have you checked out the dystonia groups I posted. Could help your ADMIRABLE efforts to make people aware of dystonia/ST.
I am seeking to raise awareness of Dystonia and ST, by playing piano Recitals, and other ways.
