Thank you so much for your bio/message. ai'm glad you're still able to work. I did for 3 years, but my flares became so frequent that it was really triggering my Bipolar disorder as well. But the Lupus really took my carrer away. I was an Escrow Officer for First american Title Company. I closed Real Estate transactions. I can't tell you how much I miss the professional world and working. My employer could not keep me any longer due to my illness and absences. The last year I was there I was absent more then at work and could no longer perform my duties to what was expected. I feel like a shell of who I once was. I feel like I'm nobody and broke besides. It's a very humbling and humiliating expierence after spending all of my adult life as a very independent business woman. I will pray you are able to continue to work and keep your Lupus under control. Have a wonderful week and thank you for your support. xxxx Sandra

April 2007-My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary in Las Vegas. When I got home I became so ill I could barely walk 20 steps. I also had "bruising" on my breasts. I was terrified I had caught some weird disease in Vegas! After many tests, analysis of my history, and a biopsy, it was determined I had Lupus. After further blood tests my rhuematologist determined I also have RA. So I've been dealing with the emotions and the physical endurance of chronic pain for over a year.
