Can you say, FANTABULOUS!!!!???!!!!!

Everything in my world is really lookin’ up folks!  I truly wish YOU could make this happen for YOU!  I have Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to thank for this “new found” sense of well being……  So much more than words can say!  And to think that at this point (3 months on LDN) I am still not 100%....BUT!.....as I have said before, “If it doesn’t get any better than it is right now…..I am very pleased!  I seriously have my life back!”

I have been contacted by several people with inquires about LDN.  I have shared my experience….and they have expressed an interest.  Some people who “hear” about my experience just say, “Good for you!”  As if it is not an option…..for them.  Not an option?!?  BAH HUM BUG!  It took me several attempts to convince my GI to let me “give it a try” and I refused to “back down.”  (Similar to my 30 year fight with Crohn’s…..I refuse to lose this battle…).

Some have approached their doctor with an interest in trying LDN for themselves….only to “hit a brick wall” from the “insensitive Joe’s” who simply “brush it off” by saying something like, “Oh, you are too far gone for LDN to help….”  Or “LDN might help those who have “mild” Crohn’s……”  Or they might say something like what my GI said at first, “Well, we might try LDN as a last resort, when nothing else worked…”  Is LDN right for everyone?  Hummmm….. I don’t know, but as my GI was writing out the ‘script for me he said, “Well, if that is what you want, it certainly won’t hurt you….”

I do not have “mild” Crohn’s (not in the slightest stretch of the imagination…I mean, paaleeeease!!!).  According to my GI I am (or was before LDN) at high risk of stricture with narrowing and inflammation, malnutrition, loss of energy, pain… (not to mention “harboring” disease for 30 years).  LDN has helped me to regain my life!  It not only relieved my symptoms and pain….but, I believe that there is “work going on in there” that is much more than “masking” the symptoms (www.lowdosenaltrexone.org).  I can feel it, without a doubt.  (Testing results in July or early August should confirm my supposition….after comparing with the results from “before” LDN…).  First time in my life that I am actually looking forward to the tests!  Ha!  Can’t believe that myself!  LOL!

This is real, very real, but I have met some resistance from the “outside.”  People have called it “snake-oil” or some “internet scam”…. as well as other “uninformed” nonsense.  I simply say, “Do the research and find out for yourself….”  One person said to me, “Well, that’s all fine and good for now but what if it loses effectiveness after time?  (as many of the treatments offered today often do…).  I said, “That doesn’t concern me much…” (let’s just say that I am confident…).  All I know for certain is that it has helped many people (for years) with various illnesses (some have multiple illnesses) that have a common bond (autoimmune/inflammatory)….minimal side effects in the first 2 weeks, inexpensive, 1 pill at bedtime….. Yes, it has made a HUGE positive impact on my life!

No one is “getting rich” off of LDN….no Big Pharma sponsors it…. (excerpt from www.gazorpa.com/History.html):

Unfortunately, obtaining FDA approval for LDN

will not be a straightforward process.
Since naltrexone is now a generic drug, no pharmaceutical company

currently holds exclusive manufacturing rights.

No company is eager to fund an expensive clinical trial
for a drug that will make them so little profit.

Finally, I say from the depths of my heart and soul, “There is no reason to live with chronic illness, the pain and agony, when there is LDN.  Absolutely, no reason…..

Good for you patty !!! I find it so sad that the doctors put up such a fight to put people on LDN,you can read the positives from people all the time about the changes in their lives since starting on LDN, Even with a chronic disease dont we all deserve a better quality of life ? my goodness I know where Id rather be, Id rather be less tired and able to enjoy my life than suffering the side effects of toxic drugs. Ive been there Ive had the chronic side effects. Nothing is to be lost by trying it , I think everyone should at least give it a fair chance, Im with you pattie ! xxxx :D

My Rheumatologist is on board! My Gastroenterologist will make a decision regarding the LDN after the colonoscopy tomorrow! Hell though, I'm so tired of feeling the way I've been feeling the past couple of weeks, I almost ready to say I'll go on Humira like he wants. I really want to try the LDN though. Like my Rheumatologist said, "What can it hurt?"
