Hope all is well.Continue to hang in there.
Started w/Lithium and Elavil (anti-depressant). Good for years. Then switched to Prozac because I made a suicide attempt with an o.d. of Elavil. That worked good too. Ok for 10 years, during divorce another attempt. Doc. figured the Lithium wasn't doing its job so now I'm also on Lamictal (a mood stabilizer)and Trazadone to help me sleep. I seem to be ok. As you get older the symptoms increase so I have "rapid cycling" once a week or so. (Moods change within a few hours)and I get mixed states (depression w/hyperness & anger). That lasts a few days. But none of these are severe, I can still function, I just try to ignore them. There are so many combinations of drugs...takes a while to find the right ones. But life goes on..Thankfully!!
I hope she gets it soon, I really do. Once on medication a bipolar can have a "normal", productive, fun life. She doesn't know what she is missing.
How is bob100 today? Ready for the heat wave? (I feel like Martha & the Vandellas). I hope you are ok. (This sounds like a 6 year old wrote it,doesn't it?) Please excuse, I'm not a morning person.
I know it has to be hard for you. I admire someone that can put up with us BP's.
My wife has Bipolar but is in denial. I have tried to deal with her severe mood swings, but don't think I can do this anymore. I need urgent help and advice
