I injured myself on Sunday.  On Tuesday evening.  And have been completely benched due to a neck problem all week.  

 

As much as I have enjoyed all of my DS friends I've come to a point where I can no longer spend time on the internet playing at all and as such my account will become cold.  I love all of you.  And I wish you love too.  But the real world calls and I don't want to be the true tragedy in Farenheit 451.  No true interaction with real people.  From now on I'm not going to use my computer to falsely stand in for real life.  

 

So sayonara!  

 

Its been swell.  I'm taking the link out of my bookmarks.  If I come back at all it will be to share wonderful news but until then, it is a lasting goodbye not just au revoir,

I am a workout nerd.  I look at Cathe Friedrich's website everyday.  I check the forums.  Lol.  I look at the workout rotations with lust in my heart for dvds that I don't have yet.

 

Next week:

 

Business:  Same stuff:

 1. Study legal terms

2. Cold calls

3. brochure (my artist was not available last week)

4. Networking

 

Personal:

1. Exercise MWF Walk/Run 60 min. T/TH/Sa Step.  I want to add 30 minutes before my short yoga practice (three days a week) of strength training.  Light rep work.  More stretching too.  I love stretch max by Cathe.

2. Nightly bath then yoga

3. Eat low carb calorie cycle food which is in support of my personal weightloss goals.

4. Daily affirmations in my journal.  

5. Stay fully in the moment a la Eckhart Tolle and be focused on knowing my stuff.

6. Add abdominal work three times a week.  

 

So, it shouldn't be too bad.  I have scheduled time for the brochure for next weekend.  The week after that will be the cold calls.  Then I will send out the brochure.  Then find networking events.  I expect those to be in the business journals.  Maybe I should call my old boss once that is done and volunteer for a couple of video shoots.

The past week Mood
Saturday, July 5, 2008 | A General Update story

Last week was good in terms of home care.  We have a room that we call the store room.  We call it that because thats where everything that has no home is stored.  Including pantry items because this house does not have a pantry.  Whoever designed this house was an idiot.  

 

Still.  We make the best of it.  And this past week I purchased and added four sterilite plastic drawer sets and two miniature ones.  Also, I bought two white plastic shelving units and partially emptied the store room (filled to above my head mind you with stuff like I don't know what this crap is but ok.) And then I vacuumed and (rat poop.)  and put together the shelving unit, and refilled them with the pantry goods.  Now you can walk in there and around the unit without braking a foot.  I also put the art work and supplies back in the room in a nice vertical safe position that is also easily accessible.  This project is what I spent most of my time on.  I also identified some things that could be donated and disposed of.  Bye bye junk!  I also cleaned both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms.  Thats progress.  I did study some.  I also had an aweful anxiety/not even real flashback like attack on Thursday afternoon.  But, I dealt with it well.  I checked my old paperwork from when I went to college and know that what was in my head is just not possible at all.  Time line was completely impossible.  So, its ok cause it was just crazy and not real.  Maybe thats a sad thing to say, but crazy is better than what I imagined in my head being real.

 

Each day this week I made my brother's breakfast/meds.  I also saw to it that he got his noon pills most days.  One day I missed it and he had forgotton as well.  I thought he had done it because he was up and walking around and on the computer.  He is two years older than I am but this is something he just doesn't remember to do very well yet.  I expect that to improve but am disappointed.  He seems ok but he is not.

 

I've also been making my mother's lunch (she works,) keeping the dishes done, moving the laundry, watering the garden, feeding/letting the cat in and out.   I've been watching this (as I am working at home right now) show called You are what you eat on the BBC.  Its about this nutritionist who visits people and gives them a better diet.  Its a little rough in some ways but I do enjoy it. I also like the How clean is your house show too.  Its July and I have changed my calendars.  New pictures one of a lighthouse and the other is a norman rockwell style illustration of a family of people eating a meal in the yard.  They look happy. 

 

I've been keeping my workouts mostly on target. I'm taking today off because I haven't had a real day off in a while and I don't want to overtrain.  My muscles are a bit sore.  This past weeks workout schedule looks like this: Sun Aerobics video MWF Walk/run T/TH Cathe Friedrich Basic Step DVD played twice for length.  The run on Monday was to the front gate.  Its about a mile but very steep hill coming back up.  Also did a few laps on my track, just 30 minutes total.  Wednesday run was over an hour and twice the mileage added a loop we call the upper ckt.  That would be over two miles.  Friday was a long hike/little bit of running.   I was very sore.  It was 2.2 miles.  37 minutes.  Don't laugh I'm not that slow it really is a progression of one steep down hill leg then four steep up hill legs afterwards-I live in the country.  My weight bounced down to 198 and now up to 198.6 but I put the 198 in the weight field because I think its just water anyway.  

 

My diet has been good.  Although I could ratchet down the amount of fruit.  I've been eating my hard boiled egg before workout, 1/4 cup of oatmeal post workout.  Then my home made chili over a bed of sprouts.  Sometimes chicken or pork pan fried.  Vegetables and a few peas.  A cup of cherries.  A blueberry, orange and frozen peach smoothie with no sweetener on Thursday morning.  The blueberries were organic from the farmer's market.  Some peanut butter.  Its hard to eat enough calories when you are on low carb foods because they make you not hungry but the only way my body releases fat is if I eat enough.  

 

Sunday was my parents anniversary.  I took them to see Wall-E.  It was so cute. 

 

The business has been on the back burner.  I did study as I mentioned earlier but not as assiduously as I could have.  My head was not in it.
