is feeling OK
I discovered I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago. At 45 years old I was very shocked that I was even able to conceive. But after the initial shock wore off, I was elated. I just immediately wanted this baby. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage this past weekend, I was 8 weeks. I have two wonderful children, 18 and 14. While I feel that I was blessed to have become pregnant at this point in my life, I am deeply saddened that it ended in a miscarriage. My boyfriend doesn't seem to understand the loss that I feel. I know that he feels sad about what happened but don't think he felt the happiness about the pregnancy that I did. I find it very difficult to discuss my feelings about it with him and even feel like he may think I am over reacting or being over emotional because it was such a short term pregnancy. Just wanted to find a place that I could share my feelings with other women that have experienced this too. Fortunately I do have wonderful girlfriends that are always there for me, no matter what. But they haven't gone through a miscarriage. Thanks in advance for listening!
