Twas the day before Christmas and all through the mall
Not a shopper was bored, buying gifts big and small
When what do my eyes see ahead
Why Santa was asleep in his sled
I asked the photographer if I could have a pic
She said "Of course, but please be quick"
The mall was closing and I had to go home
The tasks were all done and I was finally alone
Now I got some Bailey's Irish creme to drink
Time to settle down to ponder and think
Is this what Christmas is about
With so much stress I am in doubt
At last I settle down to sleep
Trying to count reindeer instead of sheep
What do I hear on my rooftop with clatter
It's Santa sneaking in on my ladder
He looked at me lovingly with a big smile
I tried to stay awake for a while
He said " I brought you something good for the night's end"
The love of family and very good friends.
I made this up on the spot, sure hope it's ok.
Lots of Love Laughter and Big Hugs from both me and Santa
Linda Ha ha ha OR is it ho ho ho
