Let's see now this is my first entry here. I have been diagnosed with rosacea in 1995 and for years I have tried everything from Metrocream and gel and reduced the garbage in my diet and I still get all red and looking like I glow in the dark.
Not to mention I am discriminated on a daily basis and get nowhere really fast with people. They know I have the skin condition and I have educated most of them in terms of non contagious and all that. But it doesn't stop people from bullying me and telling me I am red and ugly. How fair is that!?!?! Geez I can't help it if I have the disorder but I do try my best to cope with it and keep it under control. Some days are harder than others and today I wish it was easier.
Now that I have vented this I feel better. Thanks and have a great day.

I have rosacea also. I was diagnosed last year. At first they could not figure out what I had and they finally gave me some pills because I have developed a type of acne that goes with it. But I have so many Drs and meds that I stopped taking the pills but now the acne is getting worse again. So I guess when I can I will have to break down and go back to the dermatologist and get some more. But I can use makeup to cover mine up. Some people are cruel. I even work for a health system. Most understand but there still are some that are just mean and insensitve.

Just remember that beauty comes from within and anyone that can't see that does not deserve your attention. Welcomes to DS!
