I called my 'ex job' to ask them if they realized that firing me while on medical leave was illegal. I haven't heard back from the yet. I don't know if I can wait on disability or not. I may just have to suck it up and get a part time job somewhere. At least that would be instant rather than waiting on the gov.. I just have to do something. We have drained savings and checking...now we are living week to week hoping that we have enough grocery money after our necessities are paid. That isn't counting all the stupid bill collectors that call me non stop now. I can't do anything about it right now and they don't get the point . Even when you tell them that you are on medical leave, they still try to get blood out of a turnip...

just a little advice on the part-time job. try to get something where you don't have to work with people. well, wait. i guess that's a little too black and white. let's just say while i was having a bad day it was really hard to keep up on customer service and i really wished i could be behind the scenes. that way, if i had to cry or was frustrated i could do so without the world knowing. i'm with you though, totally understand.

Unfortunately, I know about the collector's, too. When I was working and was on Medical Leave I ran out of all my vacation time and all my sick days. I had to quit so I caould access my retirement funds. Then ran out of retirement funds and got help from my parents. I'm now living with my parents and they are taking car of my finances. It sucks, and I keep putting off the whole SSD process b/c I HEar how bad it sucks. I wish you luck and I hope everything starts to fall into place.
