Saw my trainer again. I am so proud of how well i am doing with the weight training. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical …
I saw my internist this afternoon....she was concerned about my blood pressure(bp) fluctuations and my heart rate (hr). They did "orthostatics", that is, measured my bp and hr lying down x 5 minutes, sitting for 5 minutes and then standing x 5 minutes. My heart rate went up to 107 beats per minute during standing. I also lost weight (water weight no doubt) but about 11 lbs since I was last weighed 3 weeks ago. That's excessive. I suspect her scale was off but I'm not complaining. The doctor also ordered blood work, testing me for diabetes and anemia.
I told her I eat and drink plenty. As I thought of it, I really didn't eat or drink much before my doctor's appointment. Not good. I think I'll just have bottled water nearby and sip and sip and sip.
Anyway, it is dehydration that causes the dizziness. The heart beats harder during positional changes. NO GOOD. Dangerous. No yoga for me for a couple of weeks or until I feel better. Nothing strenuous or as my pulmonary guy says: no overexertion.
That's it.....that's my update.

I haven't been feeling too well lately. I have been getting skipped heart beats, even though my heart rate seems to …
Last night at 6:30 my heart started to go into atrial fibrillations. It does this once in a blue moon and usually …
Dehydration will also cause bp changes (remember they give trauma patients IV's to raise blood volumn and increase bp ?) and dehydration will make your heart rate increase. Nice and easy still keeps us flexible. Hugs Marie.

Listen to your doctor. Rest up (some more), get better, and be blessed. It sounds like your heading in the right direction of finding out what's going on at least. I know you just want to be done with this all and move on; agian, baby steps and small blessings, honey. Think of our dear Olive. She too is going through her own personal hell right now too. She is a reason that I say my life is so blessed compared to what it could be. I read your journals and say that YOU are another reaon I should feel blessed with what I have in life. It's sad that we have to rely on other people's sadness to realize ours isn't such a bad hand to be dealt in life, but truly, no one would ever know "good" without "bad".
Prayers to you sweetie. Your doing it..... your getting better in small ways. Try and keep your chin up. Your a sweet, sweet person to have as a friend on here. I've always admired the way that you respond so quickly to posts and try to genuinely help others.

I heard back from my doctor....high sugar found in my blood most likely due to taking prednisone. This is causing dehydration which is why I am dizzy. I'm so angry at my allergist for putting me on this. I need to have more bloodwork in a month to track if the blood sugars come down.

You might not have even been able to complain to your allergist if you had not had the Prednisone ! It is sometimes a necessary evil.

Take care of yourself, Rona, and listen to the doctor! You are a very important person to many people, and, others depend on you to be healthy. I think about you everyday, and, I continue to pray about your asthma, as I know what difficulties you face on a daily basis. My son is sure having his share of problems with his asthma these days. Sending you some of my strength for you to lean upon, Jami
