My son (BS1)has been diagnosed with Bipolar since age 3, he is now 16.5 and am worried about how he will function on his own as he totally denies his illness. To make matters worse, his Bf (my ex bf) has always told my son that he does not have bipolar, and I (mom) am making it up. Some days are great and some days, months, years are worse. During the worse times, my sons Bf diappears from his life as 'I just can't handle it'.
Treatments
Open Self-Injury
I have a stepdaughter (SD) who has started cutting herself while she is at her mom's visiting. Neither of her parents or her school guidance counselor think it is serious. I am scared for my SD. I know cutting is not geared toward suicide, but just the thought of my SD feeling as she does hurts me inside.

I barely receive CS (although court ordered not enforced) and I have always had sole custody and have maintained through all the court battles.
