What happened when I reported the assualts Mood

well I went to the police station Tuesday like I was told to do. I met with the Major Cases detective that deals strictly with assaults. They are not going to charge him and bring it to court however it will still be on his record.

one thing that was accomplished was that the detective told him that i do not want to have any contact with him what so ever and I do not want him involved in my pregnancy as a result of his behaviour from the June 16th ultrasound. Chris and his mom was told that if they send me any messages (email/text) or if chris calls me whether it be himself doing it or one of his friends, i will be calling the detective back and the detective will be charging him with criminal harassment with possible jail time.

Chris trying desparately to gain some kind of control over me was like i want to be supportive during the pregnancy and if shes willing to go to counsellling and co-parenting classes i'd be willing to do that with her. he only wants me to agree to this b/c he just wants to start a fight with me. im not stupid. then he was like if she doesnt want to have to pay money for lawyers for support and visitation, i'd be willing to sit down with her adn discuss that. i wouldnt have to pay for a lawyer because im on disability and would qualify for legal aide. id rather have that done by the courts anyways so its set in stone.

im not giving in and playing his game., he only wants to get me in person to yell, scream, rant, rave and curse at me some more. its not going to happen. im not allowing him to stress me out at all. My anxiety level is much lower to none since hes stopped trying to get ahold of me ( dont know how long that will last for) buts im good for now

Good, finally someone did something about him. And it's good that you can recognize his game before he gets a chance to lay it thick on you. Good for you. The less contact by him the better. And you don't have to talk to him at all. If he has anything to say to you...he can say it to an official. If he sends you a letter...you can automatically take that to the detective too.

Then you can tell him that he's not getting the message. Wow, Chris seems super crazy manipulative. Tard. Hopefully he gets the idea and lets you rest peacefully. So far so good...but it's only been a little while. Take care hun.

I am so happy for you! But I am also worried I hope you are near a phone and have the police on speed dial at all times. He could do more than just text you he could come to your home! I hope you are able to get an order of protection on him too. You need all of this to be sure of your saftey! ANd then you ahve it on paper and no matter what police man answers your call you will have that piece of paper that will tell them he is not to be near you or call you! Take care of yourself!
