About Me
I have removed some people from my friend's list as I need to focus on who I communicate with often as my energy levels don't allow for more than that. Nothing personal!!! I have Fibromyalgia which shows itself as pain of varying degrees and fatigue. Had surgery to remove scar tissue from abdomen last week and also cystoscopy. Had bladder flushed because of I.C. symptoms. Am feeling sore and shitty. I have Bipolar II, with Cluster B traits, plus O.C.D. with a little A.D.D. thrown in to add spice. I was adopted at birth. For my whole life I have felt different from everyone around me.(Freud eat your heart out!)I try and cope with all of this and lead an ordinary life, what ever that is!!! I am coming to believe that we are the authors of our lives and am trying to live mindfully. Blessed Be.
Interests
When well enough I am an artist and metalsmith. I paint, draw, work with stained glass, copper, paper, fabric, anything really. I luv going camping and walking and connecting with nature. I read alot too. I was a semi-pro singer for years, now I just like to listen...I love so many generes and artists but at the moment it's Coldplay, Elbow, Zero 7, Ron Sexsmith, & a c.d. by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss called Raising Sand. I feel blessed to have found this site and to have made many precious friendships.

Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with Bipolar II this year, after many years of being misdiagnosed...surprise, surprise. Just getting my head around all of this.
Treatments
- Depakote Too Soon to Tell
- Have started on baby doses of this to stablise my rapid cycling so I can come off the 3 anti-depressants which seem to be causing me more harm than good. Nausea and dizzy spells are really bad side effects so far.
- Group Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- I have a hard time in any kind of group, but I try.
- Holistic Health Working / Worked
- Aromatherapy helps with sleep problems sometimes
- Prozac Not Working
- Prozac is evil and twisted and should be flushed down the loo (I am v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y coming off this right now and am suffering.
- Topamax Not Working
- Very trippy side effects...like L.S.D. But without the pretty colours
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- This may remain in my med cocktail as it has not caused me too many problems, though not sure if it is still helping
Close Adoption
I was adopted as a baby then unfortunately my adoptive parents both died before I was 10, without telling me I was adopted, so I found out by accident. Then at 15 I became pregnant and gave my son up for adoption. I recently searched for my birth mother and discovered she had died at 50. All these tramas I realise are holding me back from living a full, happy life. I have no foundation, no roots. There is a hole in my soul.
Open Smoking Addiction & Recovery
I have surgery planned for 30th Sept., and have got a terrible smokers cough, so I am quitting tomorrow using this as my motivation. I have smoked for 30 yrs, though during this time I quit once for over 9 years. I have done it before so can do it again...with help of course!

- Nicotine Patch Considering
- Last time I treid to quit these helped alot and I managed to quit for 2 months.
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- I am already on this for depression but has little effect with the smoking cessation
- Willpower Considering
- Last time I quit for 9 years it was cold turkey and I will eventually need to do so again.
