Thank heavens......As of last night, it was finally over. WE gave out my Mother's Memorial Scholarship last night at the High School Graduation. It was nice.....the ONLY bit of disappointment, is that last year we (our family) started a presidence for saying a little something about the scholarship & about the person you were givng the scholarship for.....well this year, I (AS USUAL) wrote up the letter we give to the person we give the scholarship to each year; Designed the scholarship---and bought the frames---for 3 copies (for the recipient, my Grandma & Aunt); & wrote up something for them (the two YOUNGEST of my brothers (who this year insisted on giving it out) to say. HOWEVER-----they got up to the podiem (is that spelled right?); and they got up there & said NOTHING....but what the scholarship was, and who the person was getting it was. This year IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SOOOOOOOO important to my ENTIRE family for them to say that this scholarship was established BY my GRANDPA (& Us ( me & my brothers))--especially since we gave it to my cousin & that would have meant the would have meant the world to my Grandpa! But, what was really upsetting was that EVERYONE ELSE who gave out memorial scholarships DID say things like that.....so that was disappointing. SO it was upsetting. BUT, other than that it went smoothly, and the man that gave out the scholarship my Uncle's scholarship.....was great & said some really great things.....& was wonderful. My Grandma will be very very happy. I wish I could have had two hands so I could have video taped and taken pictures at the same time. THAT would have been really been handy......Otherwise, I only got video.......SO hopefully someone else someone else got actual photos. ANYWAY, I'm just glad that is all over....IT"S been a LOT of work, stress......and things to get done.......SO hopefully things will get easier--every year things fall to me, and things are so hard....and I do NOT give out the award. The ONLY year I hope to give it out is the year that my son graduates. (the boys can take the glory until then--I don't mind--it's for a good cause) I'm just glad it's glad it's over. MANY HUGS to all....... Michelle :)
I'm glad graduation went well - I'm sorry you were didappointed about them not saying more than what the scholorship was and who was getting it. = ( I understand that being upsetting but I'm glad you're glad that it's over. LOL It sounds so special and fun.
