About Me
I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue in 2003 and my life changed completely. Add a food addiction to an illness that basically leaves you bed-ridden and you get a woman that's entirely too large with little to do about it. This is NOT me. I want my life back.

Hug
I was reminded of this verse this morning and wanted to share it. I pray you find the peace I did when it was read to me: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble....The Lord God Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress..BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD." Psalm 46 Hugs, Rhonda

Support Groups
Close Food Addiction
Yeah, it's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Too Soon to Tell
- Going to start avoiding white flour and sugar. My food addiction feeds off these and causes cravings and urges to binge.
- DailyStrength Somewhat Helpful
- Some great people on here going through the same thing.
- Reading Too Soon to Tell
- Just finished a book called "Locked Up For Eating Too Much" by Debbie Danowski & starting "Why Can't I Stop Eating" by the same author. I highly recommend these.
Close Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
After months of horrible tests and an army of doctors, I was diagnosed in 2003.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Too Soon to Tell
- Going to start avoiding white flour and sugar. My food addiction feeds off these and causes cravings and urges to binge.
Open Sleep Apnea
I've been wearing a bi-pap for almost 4 years now. While I don't enjoy it, I am used to it now and grateful for some quality sleep.
Treatments
- CPAP Working / Worked
- By the time I was diagnosed, I was so tired and sick that wearing the Bi-Pap was nothing.
Open Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionDiagnosed in 1996. Been in therapy and on various meds since then.
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Finding a good shrink was a long and painful process. Been seeing my current therapist for 6 years.
- Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
- It's so hard to say if something is really working, since I'm still depressed.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- Also have Panic Disorder
- Celexa Somewhat Helpful
- Again, I can only assume it's working.
