What are ya'll taking for after surgery acid reflux?
I had a slight setback this week as i started getting chest pains, i wasnt sure if it was from over exercising or from indigestion or maybe a bit of both!
I had to miss a few days on wii fit and when i did go on i just did the easiest more gentle exercises for about 10 mins which hasnt help me lose any more weight!
I seem to be a bit better today, i have researched indigestion and found that you can get it from not eating regular eough and not just after a meal and found quite a few of my friends with the same types of cerebellar ataxias have a problem with reflux as a result of weak muscles or muscle spasms affecting oesphagus and speech muscles.
So i am trying to eat smaller snacks through day rather than only eat twice a day as apparently the stomach acid can get stronger if you go long time between meals. Our stomachs have a special lining to cope with this acid but our oesphagus doesnt so when the acid backs up into the oesphagus it causes heartbearn (also known as indigestion). The technical medical name for this is Reflux. Its has initials GERD but i can remember what they all stand for right at this minute.
At least know i know i havent got angina or gonna have an heart attack so i will back to the exercises but maybe take it a little easier. Its so frustrating though when trying to lose weight and cant exercises due to physical restrictions.
Does anyone on here know the long term effects of having ataxia? does it make your bones/muscles age quicker cos of extra physicla effort of co-ordinatiing muscles to walk and speak etc?
