Hi Everyone I am a 29year old female who was finally diagnosed with Lupus approx. 4yrs ago. I have went through enourmous amounts of testing so if anyone has any questions regarding a test you are going to get I have probably been there. My story is very long but I will try and summarize it for you guys. I got pregnant around April of 2001, and had a beautiful healthy daughter in January of 2002, I had a really rough pregnancy, I vomited 24-7, was on an Iv for awhile, so on, I started feeling better around 71/2 mos and carried her a total of 8mos, My delivery was a breeze so that was good. I chose to breastfeed, and after having my child I was so exhausted all of the time, I blamed it on having a baby and breastfeeding, then my right foot started hurting really bad on top and I assumed I had injured it in some way, I took Motrin for awhile which did not help much so I decided to go see an Orthepedic Doctor to get an x-ray to make sure I had not fractured my foot in some way, the x-rays were normal he give me a funny looking boot to wear for a few weeks and some celebrex and sent me on my way, it worked my foot did get better, but I was still having a hard time with fatigue which really didn't concern me much at the time I assumed it was normal with a new baby. Then my husband and I at the time went out one evening with friends, it was the first time I had left my daughter for a few hours my mom came into town and let us have a date night I guess you could say. We went out and had a nice evening we even danced a little. I never have been a drinker not even socially so when I woke up the next morning and had trouble getting up and down the steps I found it kind of concerning but not enough to say anything to anyone but I thought to myself oh I hope I am not getting RA or Ms, or that Lupus thing in which I have somewhat been in the medical field all of my life so I guess that is why the autoimmune was first to come to mind that day, I did get better. My husband to a new job we moved, the company he took a job with put us in the Residence in for a month or so which was interesting with a new child coming from a pretty big house, then they put us in a crummy apartment for a few more months until we could find some realestate to purchase, we look for a good while, found a perfect house, My mom came into town to help organize everything and help with my daughter while I was trying to get everything in order so we could somewhat get back to a normal life. After working in the house putting away things and organizing all day, that night my ankles started hurting so bad and immediatly I started thinking autoimmune again, took Motrin no more symptoms. I will continue this at a later date my shoulders are done for the night.

I can't believe it! My first real concern started with my Left foot, and when they shot it full of prednisone I was a new person! My first inkling of what I was dealing with...I'm in medical too, and everyone said NO LUPUS, some still do..but mostly with everything that has happened since then when I was 35 the symptoms have cleared and they say Lupus with crossover MCTD, Fibromyalgia, diabetes, hypertension ect...
I've had every test known to man too, I'll be interested to hear more.
    Nan
