Hello friends,
The wedding is over. It was good. Everything was beautiful....especially my Lauren. She was a beautiful bride. The most beautiful I've ever seen. The ceremony went off without a hitch. My ex and I walked Lauren down the aisle and gave her away. I teared up a little but I didnt cry. Lauren cried all the way through her vows. That was hard....I cried too. I just kept wondering if her dad who was sitting behind me was really listening to the words that were being said. I wanted to turn around and ask him if he heard the part about "till death do us part". I wanted to say "Do you hear that? That's what it was supposed to be." I wanted to call him a coward and a jerk....but I didn't. I figure everyone there knows what he is....
The reception was fun. The food was amazing. The cakes were fabulous and the wine and beer totally refreshing in our 100+ temps. We had about 180 guests and everyone seemed to have a good time. We danced and laughed for hours. When it was over we loaded the leftover food and the wedding gifts into 4 cars and caravanned to Lauren & Matt's apt. We dropped off the gifts there and my parents took the food to their house. Tomorrow we are all gathering again for Mom's birthday. Hey, at least nobody has to bring food. :)
It was a good wedding and Lauren and Matt had a wonderful time. Now they begin their life as husband and wife. They are off to Durango, Colorado for their honeymoon. I know they will have a great time and its a whole lot cooler in the Rocky Mountains.
Oh yeah, I realized tonight that I'm now a "mother-in-law". Kinda scary, huh? I sure hope I make a good one.

It sounds like a beautiful wedding!!! wow, more celebrating for you tomorrow??? Now that the wedding is over, maybe you can catch your breath and relax!! I got caught up on yesterdays journal-I commented on that, but you bounced back great today. Just remember, the ex is not worth any more energy or an ounce of your thougths. You, my friend, have just started a new phase of your life, and great stuff just waits for you ahead!!! You will be an awesome mom in law, are you kidding me??? Love you, can't wait for pics!!!

What a beautiful Wedding that Lauren had Joanna. I know how hard it was for you having your ex sitting behind you, but I am proud of you to holding it together and being the strong woman that you are. Matt is so blessed to have you as his mother-in-law. Love, Teresa
