I finally made time to sit down and write a journal entry. Got back from the beach late Saturday. Other than a few bad moments with the condo we stayed in we had a great time. There was a code given to us to retrieve the keys from a lock box on the door, but the code didn't work. After two hours of waiting in the corridor in the hot weather and many calls we finally got someone to come over. They had to break in the box to get the keys out. Next, the ice maker didn't work. The next morning when I got up I went into the kitchen to make coffee. the coffee maker was so nasty dirty, I would not even think about making coffee until I cleaned and scrubbed it.  That night I kept hearing noises like someone was trying to get into the condo. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but when my sister got up she said "I hardly slept last night because I kept hearing noises like someone was trying to get in." We decided to get out of dodge! My sister had free room's in Biloxi @ Harrah's. She called and got us a free room for the night, we packed all our gear and went to the elevator to go down and get a cart. We were on the 8th floor. Well, low and behold, the elevator was out of order and we were stuck on the 8th floor with luggage. After about an hour the elevator was working and we got the heck out of there. We rode from Ft. Morgan to Daphne Island on the ferry and made it to Biloxi in about 2 1/2 hrs.  Now for the good part!!! I played a $.25 slot machine and won $1140.00 and brought it home with me. I didn't put it back in! Yea!!!

We are going after Karley tomorrow. She will stay until Sat. then we will take her home.

My next door neighbor's grandkids are here from Texas and they are around her age. She will have someone to play with.  All the neighbors usually get fireworks for the 4th and shoot them over the water from their pier's. I hope all of you have a great and safe 4th of July!
