All I have to say is that I am happy to be alive. Yesterday morning arond 8 am, I was driving home from san diego by myself and a man ran through a red light. He hit my car and my car spun out and crashed into a pole. My whole car is totalled but I got up and walked out with minor injuries. It was the scariest day or my life. I was rushed to the ER in an ambulance and put in a hospital bed, which I have never done before and hope to never do again. My whole left arm is bruised and burnd from the airbags and hitting the door and my chest and ribs are in a lot of pain. The only thing I can think is that IM happy to be alive today and the last thing I was worried about was my disease. Sometimes when horrible things happen, things seem so minor. Lupus was the least of my worries at that point. The only thing was that I thought since I have arthritis too, that my bones may be broken, but theyre not. Thank god! I am here to tell. Please watch out when you drive and always pause before you go through an intersection. People are horrible drivers and do not pay attention to anything. I have to say today I am feeling pretty happy.
