Rain blessed rain. It has been raining here off and on all night and is still raining. It has been soooo dry we had to water every day or let the St. Augustive blocks that we put in die. So if I were a little younger I would go outside and play in the rain. LOL
We went to see the phychiatrist that did the memory test for hubby.The results had been mailed to us but he wanted to discuss the results. He went into detail about the form of dementia that he has. I guess there are several types. He said he has PD dementia. He really got into detail about how the front part of the brain is affected and the back part is still working. Anyway he reaffirmed we could not do the DBS surgery. As I have said we had decided that was not an option anyway.
He has suggested meds for the depression. So we left there and went to the Neurologist for the botox shots. The neuro gave him the shots and then talked about the depression. She is putting him on Efixor and is taking him off of the Nortriptyline. Hopefully things will improve with this meds. Tremors are still pretty severe at time and at other times mostly controlled. Oh sweetie, I am so sorry niothing can be done for his type of dymentia. Life just gets so hard sometimes and seems so damn unfair. I take effexor and it really helps me, so I am hoping it helps your hubby as well. I am glad you are having rain, Lord knows we all seem to need it from all this heat. At least the Dr. explained what was happening. I always find it better to know. Can't do anything about it but it is for me better. Hugs Marlene
