I will try and update my journal today. We have been very busy going to doctors and keeping our youngest grandson. The kids have been gone for a week. They went to Florida ( Disney World) and then on the way home they stopped in New Orleans. Got back yesterday. Had a great time.
I think I put in my journal that Jimmy was going to a clinic to have the evaluation for the DBS surgery. We got the test results in the mail yesterday. We will go the the clinic on Thursday for the Specialist to tell us the results. However, the copy that was mailed is very clear that he is NOT a candidate for the surgery. I was sure that is the way it would turn out. Now before we get concerned I have to tell everyone that this was not an option for us anyway. We had told the Neuro that but she said she wanted the test just to see how far along his PD had progressed.
The report did say that my hubby was a little depressed . LOL LOL HellOOO ! That is an understatement. We will address that with the neuro on Thursday also. Actually we are doing fairly well. We ( I ) have been adjusting his meds to allow for the dyskenesia. He does not take Amantadine anymore. Too much dyskenesia. He has not had any delusional episodes and sleeps fairly well. If we could just get the incontinance cleared up we would be happy. They have tried 3 different meds and none work. However even if we can't get that controlled we will just keep on keeping on !!!! Pat, you have such a wonderful outlook on life. You remind me alot of my sister. Although she is running out of steam these days because she has so much going on in her life besides only my mom, you both remain wonderful wives, moms, and grammas. And life goes on, you keep on keepin on. I pray you and your husband will somehow find something to make your paths easier, seems like technology improves everyday in someway.
