Hello to all from " hot as _ _ _ _ " Texas ! We are having a heat wave and it seems it will be awhile before it ends. Some parts of north Texas has had a little rain but not us.
I told some of the friends yesterday that we would go out early and just stay in where it is cool.
Well, about 12 O' clock last night that plan ended. I woke up to a HOT house.
After checking breakers I decided to just cut if off. It was 85 * outside and 90 in the house. I opened the window in the storm door and put a floor fan blowing into the living room. It was just bearable. At 7 am I called the air condition company. Got the answering service and they reported that they would be out sometime today. We got in the car and went to our kids house. They are getting ready to leave tonight for Disney World in Orlando. At noon the service called and said that the technician was on his way. We met him at our house and it took him a couple of hours to find the problems ( oh, yes 2 problems) and hopefull fix it. The system has been working all afternoon trying to get the house cooled down. The cost ? Well, it did not cost an arm and a leg. Just an arm and 1/2. LOL
They say that the temperature for this weekend and starting next be 107 to 115. Now THAT is hot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we have more trouble we have an empty house across town ( our kids ) that we can get for a song. LOL It also has a pool. OH,yeah.

Heat scares me more than cold. When it's cold one can always put on more clothes... (Although having a furnace go out in the winter where I am can be pretty frightening, as one has to worry about pipes breaking...)
Glad you've got it fix. Worth whatever it cost.
