Question. . . Has anyone experienced diverticuitus as a result of scar tissue from a former operation? I saw my surgeon today and he mentioned my hysterectomy might have caused the scar tissue to my colon. The part I am not understanding is the implication that a lot of scar tissue can be prevented. My hysterectomy left massive amount of scar tissue.

Do you mean keloids? You know, I never really had a problem until AFTER my hyster, too. (in '95) And the awful divertic pain is on the L lower side where I had a lot of "spaghetti-ish" necrotic fibroids & my L ovary removed. I think we need to really *explore* this further! YIKES
